Requirements

These requirements must be met within one semester of pledging in order for the candidate to be initiated as member. The names of these candidates shall be recognized as “initiates” in the program for the end of semester awards banquet.

Academic Requirements
Undergraduate
  • Completion of all lower division business courses and an intent of declaring a concentration in accounting, finance, or information systems.
  • Completion of one upper-division major class beyond the business core classes at CSUF (e.g. ACCT 301A, ISDS 309, Finance 321).
  • Meet one of the following requirements :
    • 3.25 Upper-division major GPA and 3.50 Cumulative GPA, OR
    • 3.50 Upper-division major GPA and 3.25 Cumulative GPA, OR
    • 3.50 Cumulative GPA in your last 30 units at CSUF
Graduate
  • Accepted and matriculated into Master’s degree level accounting, finance, or information systems program.
  • Completion of two graduate level accounting, finance, information systems, or management courses at CSUF.
  • 3.50 Cumulative GPA.

Service Requirements

  • Completion of membership application and payment of returning membership dues.
  • 20 Professional Hours (e.g. speaker meetings, Meet the Firms, Mock Interviews, Awards banquet, golf tournament, office tours, career development workshop).
  • 10 Community Service Hours (including 2 hours of tutoring and BAP-sponsored community service events).
  • 5 Additional Hours (membership table, communications development, fundraising, other service events and meetings).
  • Attendance in the initiation ceremony held at the end of semester banquet.
“Members in Good Standing” Requirements

Returning members who meet the following requirements will be recognized as “Members in Good Standing.” The names of these members shall be listed as “Members in Good Standing” in the program for the end of semester awards banquet.

  • Completion of membership application and payment of returning membership dues.
